This is a very robust, well made, functional, yet stylish piece of furniture. The materials are consolidated wood (not a true solid wood) but superior to MDF which has a habit of breaking. I was particularly impressed by the construction which instead of self tapping screws evident in the 'a**emble yourself' furniture that usually rip out after a while; these are recessed clamping wood blocks. This desk was intended for a second floor office in a residential building. The doorways were narrow but we found that we could easily remove the plinths and replace them in order to get the desk through the door. The plinths were doweled and screwed, speaking once again to the very good construction. The Ebony finish is beautiful. A smooth satin finish. The drawers run smoothly. The center drawer is designed so that it can be used as a keyboard drawer or a standard drawer. I've never found it a comfortable position to have the keyboard slide out in that way. Frankly it's not ergonomic. As a result of the dual purpose design; the center draw is not as robust as the others. A minor complaint in the design: there are cable access points in each far corner of the desk. When you feed cables through the holes, you then have to remove one or two of the drawers in order to feed the cable through another hole into the knee hole area. If you need to periodically unplug anything, such as a laptop power pack; then you will very quickly end up not feeding it through the cable hole; and worse will probably put some kind of power distribution (surge protector) on the desk itself. There is space behind the drawer to keep one of these permanently in the pedestal, but you couldn't easily reach it. It would be possible to screw on to the inside back of the desk (behind the drawer, so compeltely hidden) but you can't get your hand through the cable outlet to access it.

  This would be my second pair of harbinger gloves. First one simply loosened so much that palm used to slip out while doing pullups. The previous harbinger pro version flex closure had more leather and less vent, this latest one has more vent, as seen clearly in pictures. No experience with washing yet.

Grip and comfort feels exactly the same. I would say, go with the closest fit for your palm as per chart. These tend to loosen up soon and hence i took off one star. No complaints otherwise.

  I shopped around at other web sites and just about everyone offers only particle board conference tables, This was the first solid oak table I found. It's very sturdy and well built. And cheaper than the others. I've received a lot of compliments on it.

  Like the table very much. One problem was in a**embling, one of the hex screws for the leg a**embly would not go in entirely leaving about 1 of it sticking out.

  I purchased this writing table to replace another, more expensive table. This writing table is much better constructed and designed than anything I expected and the table it replaced. It is strongly designed and built which gives the appearance of being a much more expensive than it's reasonable price. The finish on the table is also very professional and complete...no shortcuts. As the former owner of a custom design furniture company, I highly recommend this product to any and all. My wife and I love how it suits our decor while being so perfectly functional. You won't be disappointed.

  this desk is heavy, well built and a solid piece of furniture. the desk has a really nice finish and looks great in my home office.

  Love the large work space. The drawer is small, but that's not why I bought it anyway. The table seems like it will serve my purpose well. Have a well ventilated area ready. This piece, and the other 2 matching pieces that came with it, smell strongly from the finish on the furniture. It is finally tolerable after a week.
